Ken Kimura

Principal Engineer, Global Fuels Technology Department,

Mr. Kimura began his began his career with BP (ARCO) at the Carson Refinery in California in 1992. At the refinery he progressed through several positions with increasing responsibility acquiring experience in refinery operations, process control, volume planning and business evaluation. While working at the refinery, he led the team that determined how to make a commercially viable CARB ULSD fuel which is now known as ECD-1. Ken Kimura is a Principal Engineer in BP’s Global Fuels Technology Department providing technical support for west coast diesel issues. He has a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University Long Beach and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California Irvine.
