Fred Maloney

Senior Manager of Alternative Fuel Vehicle Programs,

Fred Maloney is Senior Manager of Alternative Fuel Vehicle Programs in the Environmental and Energy Planning Department for DaimlerChrysler Corporation, a position that he has held since 1994.

 

Prior to this position, Mr. Maloney has worked in the automotive emissions-related field since 1965.  He worked for Ethyl Corporation in emissions analysis and fuel testing from 1965 to 1970.  While serving in the US Army, Fred taught petroleum analysis in at the Army Quartermaster School in Virginia and worked in a petroleum laboratory in Viet Nam.   His 29 years at DaimlerChrysler includes emissions testing, certification and regulatory development. 

 

In his current position as Senior Manager of Alternative Fuel Vehicle Programs, he is responsible for participating in the development of product related environmental legislation and regulation in the NAFTA region related to alternative fuel vehicles.  He also responsibility for compliance planning for alternative fuel vehicles.

 

Mr. Maloney received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an Masters of Business Degree from Central Michigan University.
