DESCRIPTION(S):       PLEASE REFER TO THE FOLLOWING FOR DETAILED RULES OR INFORMATION:

a) Limits VOC emissions from gasoline dispensing facilities through specific equipment and operational requirements. Applies to new, existing and modified sources.  

 

Bay Area AQMD Rule 8-7 (pdf)
     

b) Applies to the transfer of gasoline from any stationary storage tank or delivery vessel with a capacity of 150 gallons or more to any motor vehicle fuel tank with a capacity of 5 gallons or more, and requires a vapor recovery system with a capture efficiency of at least 95% of hydrocarbon vapors. Requirements apply to equipment maintenance as well. Applies to new, existing, and modified sources.

c) Applies to the transfer of gasoline from any tank truck, trailer, or railroad tank car into any stationary storage tank or mobile fueler, and from any stationary storage tank or mobile fueler into any mobile fueler or motor vehicle fuel tank. Sets requirements for both the transfer of gasoline into stationary storage tanks and mobile fuelers (Phase I) and into vehicle fuel tanks (Phase II). This includes use of specific equipment, procedures, and other requirements. Applies to new, existing and modified sources.

d) Applies to the transfer of gasoline from any transport vessel into any storage tank, and dispensing from any storage tank into any motor vehicle tank. Sets requirements for storage tanks and for the transfer and loading of organic liquids. Applies to new, existing and modified sources.

e) Applies to stationary storage tanks with a capacity of more than 250 gallons. Sets requirements for both the transfer of gasoline into stationary storage tanks and mobile fuelers (Phase I) and into vehicle fuel tanks (Phase II). This includes use of specific equipment and procedures. Applies to new, existing and modified sources.
